The project aims to develop a methodology for the resolution of land use conflict, in areas where the development of tourism harms or may harm the environment.

It is implemented by local and regional authorities, social partners and private organizations in four European regions:

7 pilot areas have been selected:

  1. Parga and Syvota in Epirus, Greece
  2. Τhe municipalities of Sorsele and Storuman in the county of Vasterbotten, Lapland
  3. The zone along the Danube between Gyor and Sopron in Western Hungary instead of: The zone between two branches of Danube (SZIGETKÖZ) in Györ-Moson-Sopron county.
  4. The communities of Remetea Chioarului and Sapanta in the Carpathian region of north-west Romania
